This is my Church, and I absolutely love it! I understand that many of you do not share my belief system, but I just put this on for the picture, and if you choose to look at the spiritual side as opposed to the light and perspective and coloring, that is your choice. Anyway, I sing in the choir and my mother is the priest. It is beautiful! I actually took this one a while ago, but I keep forgetting to post this stuff.

Out of curiosity, what religion are you? I'm Roman Catholic myself and our churches are kinda big and empty-ish feeling.

really? all the Roman Catholic churches in my area are big and full...anyway I'm Episcopalian (a branch of Christianity) And my mom is the priest at our church.

yeah, that's one reason I like our religeon. Honestly, whenever I tell people that most of them are like "Wait--she's a woman?" or "I thought they couldn't be married or have kids" and then I have to explain the whole thing. *sigh*

yeah, I've kinda wondered about that too. I mean, we don't have many things we can't do; but then again it depends on the branch of christianity and even down to the specific church! The only thing I can thnk of off the top of my head are the basics; don't lie, don't steal, ect. My church is very, VERY allowing; we sang "Dream On" and "Stand by Me" in our service the other day...no relevence to church or God but whatever.....just wondering what is the difference between roman catholics and just plain catholics?

I think they're the same thing. People just drop the "Roman" off "Roman Catholic". Following the pope, and veneration of saints and Mary are what designate us from other Christian branches. I'm not sure if we're really strict on music choices and stuff like that or if it's just because my congregation's full of older people. I don't think we are, because they never lecture us on "the evils of modern society and young hooligan music" or anything like that. I think our religions are almost exactly the same except for maybe one or two rules.
